About Janna
I’ve spent more than 30 years supporting people through change, growth, challenge and opportunity.
My journey began in my late teens through community and leadership initiatives that gave me an early appreciation for the power of supporting others to discover what they’re capable of.
I was fortunate to be part of the American National Community Corps as a participant, then as a Team Leader, and later as an AmeriCorps Leader — one of just 50 leaders selected across the United States.
That early experience shaped something that has continued throughout my life: a belief in people, a love of developing others, and a genuine interest in what becomes possible when someone has the right support around them.
That thread continued through more than two decades in coaching, leadership and high-performance sport, working alongside athletes, coaches and teams through moments of growth, challenge and change.
The beginning of Abundant Living
About 15 years ago, Abundant Living began in a very different way.
I established an organic buying group in my local community, bringing families together to access fresh fruit and vegetables, meat and dry goods each week.
What started as a practical way to help families access nourishing food grew into something much bigger.
It became a space for connection, sharing knowledge and making nourishing choices feel more accessible and achievable for busy families and mums.
From there, I began sharing food education and practical ways to nourish our families — including fermented foods, homemade chocolate and preparing food from scratch.
My Thermomix became part of that story too, helping make nourishing, homemade food more achievable in everyday family life.
The heart of Abundant Living has always been about the same thing:
Supporting people to create more of what matters in their lives.
From Performance to the Body
My work in high-performance sport took me deeper into understanding how people move, learn and develop.
As a coach and coach developer, I became fascinated not only by physical movement and technical performance, but by what can sit underneath them — the patterns, beliefs and experiences that can influence how someone shows up and what they believe is possible.
In my role as a National Coach Developer, I worked closely with coaches who were highly capable and committed to their development. Yet I began noticing patterns that seemed to have been established years earlier — ways of thinking, responding and approaching challenges that could sometimes get in the way of reaching their potential.
This sparked a deeper curiosity for me.
What if there were other ways of supporting people to create space around some of these patterns?
That curiosity led me to Biofield Tuning.
In 2024, I became a Certified Biofield Tuning Practitioner, and began exploring another way of listening to and working with the body — one that felt complementary to everything I had already learned through coaching, movement and performance.
It wasn't about replacing what I knew.
It was about expanding my understanding of what might be possible when we create space to listen.
My exploration has continued with Spinal Flow, a gentle touch-based modality that brings another perspective to the body's capacity to adapt and change.
My connection with Spinal Flow began through Biofield Tuning
Whether working remotely or in person with tuning forks, I found myself repeatedly drawn to the spine — from the base of the skull, down through the spine and towards the sacrum.
I was listening.
And what I experienced was a sense that the body was asking for attention in these areas — inviting space, movement and change where things felt held or stuck.
That curiosity led me to Spinal Flow Technique.
Spinal Flow offered another way of listening to the body, through gentle touch rather than sound.
It felt like a natural extension of the work I was already drawn to: creating space, paying attention and trusting that the body has its own wisdom.
During my own experience with Spinal Flow, I noticed a greater sense of being upright, centred and connected in my body. It gave me a deeper appreciation for just how much the body can communicate when we create the space to listen.
The power of the body.
Beyond the sessions
I’m still a coach at heart. I love seeing people find their own way forward, whether that’s on the sporting court, through a period of change, or simply in the everyday moments in life.
Abundant Living is an extension of that work, creating space where you can pause, reconnect and explore what might be possible when you give yourself the opportunity to listen.
